My story begins in a small farming community in Western Missouri. Growing up with parents who were both teachers, and with my sister and I deeply involved in sports, I developed a love for both learning and competition from a young age.

In college, I initially pursued a degree in business, but soon found myself drawn to the world of teaching—a path that provided me with summers spent outdoors, cherished holiday time with family, and a steady income. However, everything changed when I met Jessica.

Although we both hailed from outside Kansas City, Jessica's background couldn't have been more different from mine. She came from a long line of entrepreneurs, a concept I had never even considered. After four years of marriage, Jessica convinced me to take the plunge into real estate with her, and we dove in headfirst.

Amidst the excitement of our new venture, we quickly encountered the unique challenges that come with being entrepreneurs in a relationship—struggles with work-life balance, financial stress, and communication breakdowns. Despite facing some tough times, we remained committed to conquering these obstacles together, experiencing both soaring highs and challenging lows along the way.

Driven by our shared experiences, a few years ago, I made the decision to channel all that we had learned into founding Entrepremarriage™ and Kalan Speaks, LLC. Our mission? To share our journey and equip couples like us with the tools, classes, and coaching needed to not just survive, but thrive in both their businesses and marriages.

It's been an incredible journey so far, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share it with you. Let's navigate this exciting adventure together.
